SELECTED EXAMINATIONS · 2026. A limited art publication by Tra` Slaughter

$55.95
Selected Examinations is a 2026 art publication presented in calendar form, featuring twelve works selected from nearly a decade of studio practice. While it moves through the months, it is not about timekeeping. It is about looking closely.

Each image is an examination of identity, memory, desire, guilt, performance, and self-interrogation. The materials shift from assemblage to collage, from neo-expressionist portraiture to heavily worked surfaces layered with text, mark-making, and found imagery. The through-line is confession. Nothing here is decorative. Everything here was earned.

This publication brings together works created between 2016 and 2025, presented without hierarchy, allowing the viewer to sit with each piece on its own terms. The calendar format becomes a quiet structure, not a theme. A way to live with the work rather than flip past it.

Printed at 11 × 17 inches on matte paper, spiral-bound at the top with a centered hanging loop, Selected Examinations is intended to function as wall art as much as a publication. Each month can stand alone. When the year ends, the work remains.

This is a limited 2026 edition of 100 copies. It is not signed or numbered. The limitation is the object itself and the year it belongs to. This publication marks the first release in what will become an annual series.

• Paper pages bound with a silver-color metal wire
• Paper weight: 8 oz/yd² (271 g/m²)
