This is where the process gets worked out. Pressure tests, repeated patterns, opposing stamps, and color pushed around to see what it will do. Some are dense grids. Some are four impressions on an open field. All of them are the same question asked at different volumes.
Look for the one that breaks. A single hot pink snake in a field of black. One black one in a field of pink. The whole collection in miniature, eight times over.
The small repeated snake came out of a stamp collection I found in my own studio. That one stamp is what started all of this, and what sent me to carving my own.
