The Boat Dreamed From the Hill 24x36"

$295.00

Inspired by the Jawbreaker song, ”The Boat Dreams from the Hill”, this piece has lived in the artist’s mind for years—an image of longing, regret, and the quiet recognition of time passed. The figure stands on the hill, motionless, watching a dream he never dared chase drift too far out to sea. Now, neither man nor boat are seaworthy. They are weathered by stillness.

The two birds in the sky speak volumes—of lost partnerships, of what might have been, and of the bond between the dreamer and the dream. A single lyric, “anchored to a fixer-upper's dream,” echoes throughout the work, reminding us that safety often costs us everything worth risking. The artist changed the tense of "dreams" to the past tense, "dreamed", representing that it is now too late.
